a true love moment

As most of you friends and family that read my blog know, I am very very much in love. I don't share many moments with you, but I felt the need to share just this one (for now).
Yesterday as Martin was about to get ready for his show, which he has every Sunday night, I gave a slight sad look. Not because I don't love his shows, but we have both been a tad sick, and with a 3 hour show, it becomes a long evening.

He gave me a big hug, and said,
"do you want me to cancel the show and just hug you for the rest of the night, because I'll do it."
(Keep in mind, he's a bit of a jokster).
I replied with a bit of a smirk,
"really? you'd do that for me."
And he replied something along the lines of,
"Kristin, I would cancel the show in a second for you."

Well my heart melted. And as I type this I get teary eyed, just thinking about how lucky I am to be in such a loving relationship. (It doesn't help that I have just been so emotional today, I'm not sure why). Music is his world, and playing shows is a very big part of that, but I really do know that he would give up just about everything for me and just to make me happy, and I feel the same for him. And although I would never feel the need to have him cancel any show, I know how much he loves me, and it is something I am overly grateful for everyday.
p.s. everyone deserves true love, it's something you should strive for :)

{I was a bridesmaid in one of my best friends, Jillian's wedding, this was a candid shot, and I am oh so in love}

  1. Kris-
    I am so glad to see you so loved and so happy. Martin is an amazing guy and so kind. He has a great smile (especially when he's smiling at you) and totally fun personality. I love being around you guys and I love seeing how good he treats you. Oh . . . and I love that picture too. Candid shots are the best because they really capture the magic of the moment. Love it!
